VIX SWIMWEAR: PAULA HERMANNY

VIX SWIMWEAR: PAULA HERMANNY ViX has always been one of our absolute favorite brands, so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to talk to ViX founder, Paula Hermanny. My one dilemma was that I simply could not find a bathing suit that I liked. Every time I went back to Brazil, I would stock up on bikinis and make little tweaks and changes here and there.  Soon, all my friends were asking for bikinis just like mine – and that was how ViX was born. FITNESS SUBMERGED: WHY SWIMMING IS ONE OF THE BEST EXERCISES Whether it be in a lap pool at your local gym, an infinity pool overlooking the Balinese sea, or the enormous body of salt water we’re surrounded by (AKA the ocean), swimming is one of the best exercises out there. Surprisingly, there’s more to it than showing off your newest bikini. In fact, there are many reasons why this specific activity is by far the most beneficial for your health- and it’s not just because you get to strut your stuff past the ex-water polo athletes (although that’s important too). Babying your Body Parts Swimming is known as a low-impact sport. So it’s perfect for the lazy days when you need to work out but can barely make it past snooze (not to misinterpret the idea that swimming is “easy”). Unlike running and biking which inflict friction on the knee bones, swimming increases your heart rate without the harsh wear on your moving parts. This is why swimming is common among those with arth...

COACHELLA 2017

COACHELLA 2017 Art. Music. Fashion. The only combo to have us opting for a weekend in the desert over a weekend at the beach. Coachella is one of the biggest festivals in the world for a reason, and every year it seems to be more impressive and more memorable than the last. With the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Bon Iver, The XX, Majid Jordan, Radiohead, and soooo many other amazing artists, who could say no?! This time around, we headed out to Coachella with our amazing Revolve family. They made the trip so special, as they always do, and we were able to catch up with a lot of friends that we don’t often get to see. Everyone always asks us what it’s like working with Revolve and honestly, it’s even more fabulous than you can imagine. It was definitely a weekend to remember, but it’s only made us even more excited for 2018! Day 1 We kicked off Day 1 in serious style at Hotel Revolve, prepping ourselves for the festival by listening to tunes by the poo...
